LARAMIE, WY – A native of Sheridan, Wyoming, Cari Goss is a long-time hunter and outdoor enthusiast. For years she’s felt that the hunting apparel industry has overlooked women. Women have been left to wear apparel fit for men only later to be modified for women, offered designs that don’t reflect their true femininity, and suffered through a lack of features taking away from their experience in the outdoors.
Rather than complaining about the status quo, Cari committed herself to changing the way women pursue their passions by creating the most technically driven hunting apparel designed by women, for women. Goss is gearing up her new women’s hunting apparel company, Azyre, and has also committed to a Silver Sponsorship of the 2019 Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt.
“I’ve been an avid hunter for years. My passion for the sport has taken me to Alaska, Mexico, and everywhere in between. I’ve put my gear through all types of conditions, and I’ve built the Azyre apparel to support me through the toughest conditions. I’m proud to say that the Azyre gear uses the best materials, features innovative design, and is built with a woman’s fit in mind. Anywhere you want to go, Azyre can take you there,” says Goss.
The Azyre product ecosystem is designed to serve your every need in any condition. They are pre-launching 9 new pieces (in a few colorways) this fall and shipping in early 2020, to give you the confidence to pursue your passion, push your limits, and accomplish your goals.
The Azyre Hunt Team for the 2019 Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt will include Azyre founder Cari Goss, Azyre Ambassador Bridget Fabel, and an Outdoor Dream Foundation hunter. The team will be competing against five other teams for the Founder’s Cup Award.
“We’re excited for this new Wyoming business,” says Wyoming Women’s Foundation Director Rebekah Smith. “Not only will Azyre provide gear options for female hunters nationally, but the company is a direct result of the female entrepreneurship we love seeing in Wyoming. And, we are so honored that Azyre is already giving back to benefit women of Wyoming through their hunt sponsorship.”
With a focus on hunting, mentorship, and camaraderie, the 2019 hunt will bring together over 40 hunters. The Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt will be held Oct. 10-13, 2019, at the Ranch at Ucross in northeast Wyoming. The event raises funds and awareness for the Wyoming Women’s Foundation. Since inception, the hunt has raised more than $345,000 to help women and girls work toward economic self-sufficiency across Wyoming.
With over 40 registered hunters, only a few spots remain available for sponsorship or interested hunters. Please visit the Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt webpage at www.wyomingwomensantelopehunt.org for more information on sponsorship and individual participation, including scholarships. Based on their level contribution, each sponsor has the opportunity to invite women to hunt at the event. The foundation is also seeking dinner sponsors and in-kind donations for its fundraising auctions on Oct. 11.
