Jacksonville, Alabama – Bear & Son Cutlery, the leader in U.S-made, hand-crafted knives, is excited to announce the release of the famed Kimura™ Butterfly knife. This all-new Kimura model butterfly represents a collaborative venture between Bear & Son Cutlery and Bradley Cutlery Co. and was a popular model displayed at the 2018 BLADE Show.
Bear & Son Cutlery worked with Bradley Cutlery Co.—designer and distributor of the original Kimura butterfly so favored by balisong knife collectors and practitioners—to design the new Kimura and bring the legendary name back to market.
The Kimura Butterfly features a tough, 3 3/4-inch 154CM steel blade with a 58-60 Rockwell hardness, exquisite bead-blast finish, and a sturdy taper-ground edge. The handles are stainless steel 3d milled and contoured G10 handles for a positive ergonomic grip. Premium pivot bearings ensure smooth, “no slop” deployment from a 5 3/8-inch closed to 9-inch open length. A matching stainless-steel T-latch keeps the Kimura secure in its closed or open positions. Total weight is 6.2 ounces.
