#ChangeYourRange Cleanup Event Saratoga Springs, Utah

April 19, 2017 Saratoga Springs, UT – #ChangeYourRange, in partnership with Gunwerks, Mule Deer Foundation, Seekins Precision, Long Range Shooters Of Utah , BLM, Hornady, Vortex Optics, and Grunt Style is sponsoring a volunteer cleanup initiative to pick up and remove waste from a public land shooting location. This event will take place outside Saratoga Springs, Utah on Saturday, May 12th from 8:30 am until early afternoon. Visit www.changeyourrange.org for a map to the meetup location.

“It’s pretty easy to understand the objective of #ChangeYourRange, either sportsmen and shooters get out and change our culture of trashing public land shooting ranges or we lose them to closures. Public lands belong to all of us and we have a responsibility to respect them and keep them clean. Shooting on public land is something my family has enjoyed for generations. I want my boys to be able to do the same. Gunwerks started this mission because we can and because we should.” says Gunwerks C.O.O and #ChangeYourRange founder, James Christiansen. “The last event in Wyoming resulted in six large flatbed loads of junk removed from a public land shooting range, supporting that same work on the west side of Utah Lake is a no-brainer. We will be there.”

Volunteers are greatly needed for the morning cleanup and participants should bring tools to help pick up trash in the area such as rakes, shovels and wheelbarrows. The first 50 people will get a free #CYR t-shirt from Grunt Style, and all cleanup volunteers will be entered to win door prizes from #CYR partners. Also, a free lunch will be provided as well as the opportunity to experience products and interact with shooting experts during the afternoon. Volunteers who wish to participate in the event should arrive at 8:30 am for an orientation by event coordinators.

To cover the costs of supplies and cleanup expenditures #ChangeYourRange is seeking contributions at https://www.gofundme.com/changeyourrange, or contact Andy McDaniels at 405-850-2890 or info@changeyourrange.org to provide other types of support.
