BISMARCK, NORTH DAKOTA — Jeff Dailey is Delta Waterfowl’s new regional events director for Michigan and Ohio.
Dailey, 27, has been hired to lead Delta’s existing chapters and start new chapters in the region. His goal is to conduct successful fundraising events that support Delta’s mission to produce ducks and ensure the future of duck hunting throughout North America.
With more than five years of sales experience in the outdoors industry, Dailey has worked at numerous sports shows, as well as conducted in-store product seminars and demonstrations.
He’s looking forward to making an immediate impact for The Duck Hunters Organization in Michigan and Ohio.
“I want to get more chapters fired up in my region,” Dailey said. “I want to find people who are passionate about waterfowl hunting and conservation in this area.”
He plans to boost hunter recruitment and local duck production through chapters using Delta’s Waterfowl Heritage Funds. Through WHF, chapters can spend a portion of their fundraising dollars on conservation projects such as installing nest structures, improving hunter access and hosting education days in their communities.
“The biggest thing that drew me to Delta Waterfowl is the WHF program,” Dailey said. “WHF creates local conservation impact, and people can see that first-hand.”
Although he started out as a deer and small-game hunter, when Dailey found his way to a duck blind, the experience transformed him.
“My first duck was a blue-winged teal, and then I shot a Canada goose,” he recalled. “I’ve been hooked ever since.”
Dailey lives in Green Camp, Ohio. He can be reached at email@example.com or (740) 341-7946.
