Federal Ammunition Platinum-Level Sponsor of 2019 Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt

LARAMIE, WY- Federal Ammunition has committed to a Platinum-Level Sponsorship for the 2019 Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt. Federal Premium Ammunition is a wholly owned subsidiary of Vista Outdoor which manufactures shotshell, centerfire, and rimfire ammunition and components.

The Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt takes place annually at the Ranch at Ucross in northeast Wyoming and has been hosted each year since 2013 by the Wyoming Women’s Foundation. Federal Premium Ammunition will be sending a five-member team to this year’s Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt, all of whom are from Minnesota. The team will be competing against five other teams for the Founder’s Cup, an award developed with the Boone and Crockett Club to promote ethical hunting.

“Federal supports many great events across the country promoting safe and ethical hunting and joining the Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt is a natural fit with our mission. Partnering with the Wyoming Women’s Foundation to promote, protect, and enjoy our hunting heritage is a tremendous opportunity,” said Kelly Reisdorf, VP of Investor Relations, Communications and Government Relations for Vista Outdoor, parent company of Federal Ammunition.  Kelly is based in Anoka, MN, along with the entire Federal Ammunition team, and she is an active participant in shooting sports.

“This new relationship with Federal enables us to continue teaching more women conservation values, ethical hunting practices and the skills to bring home food for their families,” said Rebekah Smith, Wyoming Women’s Foundation Director. “Offering mentorship for women that helps them provide food for their families in various ways is key to our mission, whether it be through programs that help them increase their wages, or through hunting at the Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt.”

This year’s hunt will be held Oct. 10-13, 2019 and will bring together more than 40 female hunters from across the nation at the Ranch at Ucross in northeast Wyoming for a weekend of hunting, learning, mentorship and camaraderie, as well as raising funds and awareness for the Wyoming Women’s Foundation.

Please visit the Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt webpage at wyomingwomensantelopehunt.org for more information on sponsorship and individual participation, including scholarships. Based on its level of contribution, each sponsor has the opportunity to invite women to hunt at the event. The foundation is also seeking dinner sponsors and in-kind donations for its fundraising auction dinner on Friday, Oct. 11.
