NASHVILLE, Tenn. — For continuous support of the National Wild Turkey Federation’s mission, Federal Premium Ammunition earned the NWTF’s Corporate Achievement Award.
Ryan Bronson accepted the award on behalf of Federal during the 43rd annual NWTF Convention and Sport Show. Mossy Oak is the official convention sponsor.
“Federal Ammunition exists today because conservation leaders had the forethought to protect and restore our wildlife decades ago,” said Bronson, director of conservation and policy for Federal Premium Ammunition. “The National Wild Turkey Federation is a modern conservation powerhouse, and we are so grateful to have the opportunity to partner with them every day to put habitat on the ground and hunters in the field to keep this conservation legacy going in perpetuity.”
Presented annually by the NWTF, the Corporate Achievement Award recognizes the outstanding work and dedication corporate partners have displayed in conserving wildlife and habitat and preserving our hunting heritage.
One of the nation’s leading ammunition manufacturers, Federal has partnered with the NWTF for more than 35 continuous years, supporting the NWTF’s mission and its outreach programs. In addition, through one of its longstanding promotions, a portion of the proceeds from every box of Federal turkey shot shells also helps to support the NWTF’s conservation and hunter recruitment efforts.
“There is no question that Federal cares future of hunting and wildlife conservation,” NWTF CEO Becky Humphries said. “They have developed some of the most technologically advanced turkey loads available on the market today, ensuring the most ethical harvests of wild turkeys. Moreover, through a donation to the NWTF for every box of turkey ammunition sold, Federal is working with us to Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt.”
About the National Wild Turkey Federation
When the National Wild Turkey Federation was founded in 1973, there were about 1.3 million wild turkeys in North America. After decades of work, that number hit a historic high of almost 7 million turkeys. To succeed, the NWTF stood behind science-based conservation and hunters’ rights. The NWTF Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt. initiative is a charge that mobilizes science, fundraising and devoted volunteers to raise $1.2 billion to conserve and enhance more than 4 million acres of essential wildlife habitat, recruit at least 1.5 million hunters and open access to 500,000 acres for hunting.
