Fiocchi, a global leader in defensive, target, and hunting ammunition, is excited to welcome Mitchell Pierson as the newest member of the Fiocchi Shooting Team.
Mitchell, who hails from Lincoln, Nebraska, is one of the fastest-rising young shooters competing in the Amateur Trapshooting Association circuit. He began shooting at age 14 for his Junior High School team and the next year entered ATA competition. Since then, Mitchell has moved up through the ranks, achieving the 2020 Sub-Junior 1st team, followed by the 27-yard line and 2nd team Junior All-American in 2020. Last year he made the 2022 Junior 1st team All-American.
In addition to high team placement, Mitchell completed his Grand Slam, where he ran his 200 straight and won the shootout after 275 extra. He has also racked up an impressive list of championship wins in the last two years in State Shoots across the country, as well as 75 Satellite Grand and State Shoot trophies.
“It is always exciting to watch a new shooter propel through the ranks so quickly,” said Holly Hammond. “Mitchell’s rapid growth as a competitive shooter and his solid performance these last two years, especially, indicate a promising future and we’re thrilled to count him as a member of the Fiocchi Shooting Team.”
