Houston Safari Club Foundation Now Hiring For The Position Of  Business Development Manager

Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) is seeking qualified candidates for the newly created position of Business Development Manager. This position is responsible for business development as it relates to sales and processes for sponsorships, advertising, and banquet table sales.

Essential responsibilities include but ae not limited to the following:

Business Development

  • Prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients.
  • Develop a rapport with new clients and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship.
  • Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients.
  • Strategic planning to develop the pipeline of new business coming into the company.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the market and the services the organization can provide.

Sales related to event sponsorship, event banquet table and attendee sales and advertising sales.

  • Generating leads.
  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Negotiating contracts with prospective clients.
  • Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
  • Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
  • Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
  • Understanding and promoting programs.
  • Assisting with the management of outstanding AR from clients.
  • Preparing and submitting sales orders.
  • Meeting with clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote the organizations offerings.
  • Maintaining client records.
  • Preparing monthly reports.
  • Answering client questions about services.

Minimum Requirements/Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or a related field.
  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • A commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and other applications.
  • Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
