EAST ALTON, Ill. (September 27, 2019) — Since the early 1970s, hunters and anglers across the United States have celebrated the fourth Saturday of September as National Hunting & Fishing Day. The holiday promotes public awareness of the relationship between the outdoor sports and wildlife preservation.
Famous NILO Farms®, the Winchester sport shooting and hunting preserve, invites the public to celebrate National Hunting & Fishing Day this September 28, 2019. The grounds open at 9:00am. Local vendors, events and shows for all ages will be scheduled throughout the day, along with games, food and prize drawings.
September 28, 2019 Schedule of Events:
- 10:00am & 1:00pm – Bird Dog Demonstration, Legendary NILO Kennels
- 10:30am & 1:30pm – The Gould Brothers Shooting Exhibition
- 3:00pm – Flag retirement ceremony
- 4:00pm – NILO/Winchester Drawing
