NWTF Welcomes Benelli as a Gobbler Sponsor for its Convention and Sport Show

EDGEFIELD, S.C.—The National Wild Turkey Federation announced Benelli as a returning sponsor for the NWTF Convention and Sport Show, set to return to Nashville, Feb. 16, 2022.

“Strong conservation organization support is part of Benelli’s mission and we applaud the work done by NWTF to conserve wild turkeys, wild turkey habitat and turkey hunting for future generations,” said Timothy Joseph, vice president of brand marketing, Benelli USA. “Many Benelli employees are avid turkey hunters and we are proud to partner with NWTF throughout the year, including being a Gobbler Sponsor at the national convention.”

As a Gobbler Sponsor, Benelli—shotgun and rifle manufacturer as well as convention sponsor since 2009— is one the sponsors for Saturday’s Grand National Auction and dinner. During this event, participants can bid on once-in-a-lifetime vacations and hunting trips and unique outdoor gear. The firearm manufacturer will not be exhibiting in the Sport Show this year, but attendees will have a chance to win Benelli firearms at various fundraising events throughout the weekend.

“Having Benelli renew their convention sponsorship was welcomed news. They continue to support the NWTF not only as a convention sponsor, but also in our JAKES program, our banquet program and other events throughout the year,” said Natalia Daniels, NWTF national director of corporate relations and licensing. We are grateful for their ongoing commitment to conservation and the NWTF.”

The NWTF Convention and Sport Show, officially sponsored by Mossy Oak, is set to begin Thursday, Feb. 17 with the Rendezvous sessions, the Kickoff Party and the opening of the Sport Show floor, which features more than 400 of the best vendors in the outdoor industry. The NWTF Sport Show runs from Thursday to Saturday in the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. Convention festivities conclude with a worship service on Sunday, Feb. 20.

About the National Wild Turkey Federation

When the National Wild Turkey Federation was founded in 1973, there were about 1.3 million wild turkeys in North America. After decades of work, that number hit a historic high of almost 7 million turkeys. To succeed, the NWTF stood behind science-based conservation and hunters’ rights. Today, the NWTF is focused on the future of hunting and conservation through its Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt. initiative. Since 2012, this 10-year initiative has already eclipsed goals of conserving or enhancing more than 4 million acres of essential wildlife habitat, recruiting or retaining more than 1.5 million hunters and opening access to more than 500,000 acres for hunting and other recreation opportunities. This critical work will continue to impact wildlife habitat and our great outdoors in the final years of the initiative.
