Chatfield, MN – The Pope & Young Club is pleased to announce their continued support of Kicking Bear Camp For Kids and its message of using archery to build confidence in young boys and girls and helping them realize they can set goals and attain them. Pope & Young has supported Kicking Bear for many years, and in 2007, Kicking Bear Foundation was the recipient of Pope & Young’s Stewardship Award. This award is “Given to a bowhunter or bowhunting organization that, by their actions, has conveyed a positive, good-citizen image to the hunting and non-hunting public.”
“Kicking Bear Foundation would like to thank the Pope & Young Club for their continued support to help get at-risk kids and introduce them to God’s great outdoors through archery,” said Ray Howell, Founder of the Kicking Bear Foundation. “Because of their generosity, we are able to continue to host free camps and hunts across the nation.”
The Pope and Young Club is a non-profit North American conservation and bowhunting organization dedicated to the promotion and protection of bowhunting by striving to increase awareness and appreciation of bowhunting foundations, principles and values. The Pope and Young Club is focused on Fair Chase hunting ethics that support the ethical pursuit of free-ranging, wild game animals without unfair advantage while promoting the conservation of both habitat and wildlife. The Club also maintains the universally recognized repository of records and statistics on North American big game animals harvested with a bow and arrow.
