The Association of Collegiate Anglers Announces Partnership with Rapala

The Association of Collegiate Anglers is excited to announce that Rapala will be joining the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series as a series and media sponsor for the 2019-2020 season.  As a part of this partnership, the following brands: Rapala, VMC, and Sufix, will now be affiliated with the elite college trail and the new podcast.  Rapala has a storied history as one of the top brands in the sport, and they are looking to continue this tradition for years to come by supporting this younger generation of anglers.

“It is inspiring to see the high school and college level anglers flourish around the country, and Rapala is proud to continue to find ways to support this growth” – Matt Jensen, Director of Marketing for Rapala USA.  “Our new partnership with ACA Collegiate Bass Fishing Series is designed to help strengthen our communication and support to all their anglers throughout the season. This is going to be fun!”

Rapala has even shifted its online and TV spots towards the younger and independent audience by launching a new Rapala GET ACTION spot in 2019.  Rapala took a quote from the 26th president and conservationist Teddy Roosevelt, and built a campaign around showing off young anglers getting fishing action all around the country.  You can see the 60 second version here.

“It’s exciting to continue to see so many of the top fishing brands in the nation step up and invest in programs to help scholastic level fishing.   These new programs, and the support of the popular collegiate podcast, will be something that will benefit college fishing programs nationwide.  We’re also excited to see the associated brands rolling out new products that the college anglers will have access to,” said Wade Middleton, Director of Association of Collegiate Anglers and President of CarecoTV.
