Trevor Day Hired by Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever to Assist Volunteer Chapters in Eastern Kansas and Northern Missouri
Columbia, Mo. – August 21, 2019 –Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever has appointed Trevor Day, an avid outdoorsman and former natural resources technician, to serve as the organization’s Regional Representative in eastern Kansas and northern Missouri. In this role, Day will provide support for volunteers in the Sunflower and Show-Me states – currently home to a combined 36 Pheasants Forever chapters, 30 Quail Forever chapters and more than 10,500 members – as they focus on public and private lands habitat conservation efforts for pheasants, quail and other wildlife.
Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever empower county and local chapters with the responsibility to determine how 100 percent of their locally raised conservation funds will be spent – the only national conservation organization that operates through this truly grassroots structure. As a result, chapter volunteers can see the fruits of their efforts locally, while belonging to a larger national organization with a voice on federal and state conservation policy. Day will help guide local chapters to achieve the organization’s mission, while also fostering stronger partnerships with state agencies, corporate supporters, donors, and upland hunters.
“Eastern Kansas and northern Missouri represent some of the most dedicated chapters and volunteers we have in this organization,” stated Tom Fuller, field service director for Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever. “To that end, I couldn’t be more excited to hire Trevor Day in this important region of the country to serve our devoted chapter leaders. His skillset is well-suited to provide a high level of customer service as Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever continues its mission for quality habitat and public access.”
A Missouri native, Day graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries and Wildlife in the spring of 2017. Day comes to Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever with four years of habitat management experience as a former natural resources technician serving in numerous capacities with the Missouri Department of Conservation. A self-starter at the core, Day founded Addicted Media Productions in 2017 and served as an outdoors photographer/videographer before taking the leap to join “The Habitat Organization.”
“I am excited for the opportunity to work alongside Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever volunteers in Kansas and Missouri while sharing my similar passions for conservation, upland traditions, and hunting heritage,” stated Trevor Day.
Day resides in Boonville, Missouri and will work out of his home office to assist regional chapters and volunteers. For more information about Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever in eastern Kansas and northern Missouri, contact Trevor Day at (660) 888-5132 or TDay@pheasantsforever.org.
